No, it's not! But it is still "phunny."
I'm cranky today; ornery and cranky. It is one of those days where you feel like kicking small, annoying animals across the room. I'm craving doughnuts and have a burning desire to kick something. This does not bode well for me, anyone around me or the blog-o-sphere.
Usually when I am cranky, I do not feel like trying anything new (not that I make a habit of kicking animals). Dock comes into the room tonight and asks if I wouldn't mind watching a new TV show with him. I'm so cranky and bitchy, I didn't even feel like putting up a fight. Fine. We will watching something new.
So...we're sitting on the bed, because the crappy cable is misbehaving again, watching the itty-bitty, old television with the dog who will not stop licking himself and the cats who cannot seem to respect the concept of personal space. I swear...if I had a gun, I would shoot the tv (Elvis-style) at this point.
Dock switches on the "new" show and Got-damn-it, it's funny. It's the perfect show to watch when you're in a really shitty mood. I had heard about, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" but never watched it because...well...I grew up in the Philadelphia area. It's not always sunny there. It's rarely pleasant. The only two redeeming qualities are the cheesesteaks (note: Not phucking Philly Steak and Cheese sandwiches...they are phucking cheesesteaks, assholes) and the fact that I no longer have to live there, let alone visit that dismal pit of a city.
Back on point...the show is funny. It's morbidly dark. The characters have no souls. It is the perfect diversion when one's mood is as macabre as mine. It is the television equivalent of hanging out with the O'Neil twins. If you have not yet had the opportunity to watch this gem, schedule some time next Thursday evening at 22:00. You will not be disappointed that you did.
