Goodbye

I do not know what prompted me to think of this. Perhaps it was having to listen to the radio. Maybe it's the Hurricanes game I'm watching. But I think some songs need to be retired. For good. No cute little comebacks. No nostalgia via our collection of k-Tel records (you remember, those vinyl, frisbee looking things). These songs need to be blown up, buried at sea or shot into space. I have no preference, so long as I never hear them again.

1) Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramones
2) Should I Stay or Should I Go - The Clash
3) My Sharona - The Knack
4) Legend (entire album) - Bob Marley
5) Any U2 song after the album, "War"
6) Walkin' on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves
7) The One I Love - R.E.M
8) Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen
9) Imagine - John Lennon

Man...it's harder to come up with a list when faced with the challenge. Will add more later. I promise. And...if The Who sells one more song to a commercial or tv show, they will make the Hall of Fame.

Ah...in the spirit of "There She Goes" by The Las. Double the fun! A song about heroin covered by a Christian rock band and then used to peddle birth control.
