Still popular on the internets...

If imitation is the truest form of flattery, what is lampooning? When one lampoons is it out of contempt for another or is the dark side of jealousy emerging from a tormented psyche?

The dogged pursuit of my friend Melanie and I is continuing with a vengeance. Anonymous e-mails trickle into my gmail account including the most prophetic prose. Much to the chagrin of the person attempting to get a rise out of me, I'm actually starting to enjoy myself. Even if it is a skosh strange that someone's admiration of my brilliance persists.

The latest and greatest attempt to provoke me comes via Encyclopædia Dramatica. Someone has artfully and meticulously labored over an entire page dedicated to yours truly! I am sincerely flattered. I am not kidding. It is unnerving that I could elicit such a reaction but my ego simply cannot resist indulging itself. Sadly, I am not the only target. My friends, Cyberfluff and Captain Flyboy, have been sucked in, as well.

Most of the commentary is hilarious and there are kernels of truth in the vitriol. I am "sanctimonious." I am "self-righteous." I am smug. I find it titillating to discover that Captain Flyboy and I had a salacious affair, successfully, under Dock Ellis' nose. I had no idea. Imagine...having an affair with someone whom you have never met.

If you are in need of a good laugh, please visit the homage to Kang.

Now...to be serious. Whoever has done this has not inflicted harm upon me. However...the sadistic mind behind this e-stunt should be tarred and feathered. There are pages dedicated to two of my dear friends which are beyond inflammatory and inappropriate. While we may be laughing, it is imperative to note that the text can cut deeply into the esteem of another. Engage in pot-shottery all you want at my expense. I should like to ask that you (because I know you're reading my bloggy blog) refrain from attacking Melanie and Brian. They simply do not deserve this.

Keep up the slander and libel you single neuroned life form. There shall be no retaliation from the High Priestess. Karma can take care of that all by its magical self.

Sorry to hear about all this crap, but don't worry they're sure to hang themselves at some point.

I'm just wondering what YOU did to deserve that page, eh? EH?

What did I do to deserve this? I guess it was my infedelity to my husband. All that great sex with neither orgasm nor actual man to show for it.

Now...if you will excuse me, I'm going to plop myself in front of a mirror and admire my greatness. /me winks

/me hurks in a box and mails it to the troll

Is this not the funniest crap ever.

It is proof positive that criminals can be rehabilitated, and even learn useful computer skills while doing hard time.

It also keeps them out of trouble when they are out "in the yard" inasmuch that they they can vent online, and not in line.

LMAO.

although I must admit, I am wondering what you are running with!

It is phucking riot, isn't it?

It's hard to get angry when you read something as hysterically hilarious as that.

Note: I am not running with anyone. I think the person who did this is pissed off because he can't sit in the cool kids' section of an internet forum. How absolutely pathetic.

Somebody went to alot of time and trouble to put this in here. But if they have that much time on there hands well maybe they could put them to better use.
Yes, I can't believe that Mel and yourself is being stalked like this.

Howard...

Yes, "somebody" did go through a lot of time and trouble to write this. Given the outbursts today on The Local, I have managed to narrow down my suspects.

It's really unhealthy to be so fixated on people, isn't it?

That said...I will not be leaving The Local again. Not this time. I'm going to ride it out with my slimy chin in the air and see what happens.

You should send Melanie an e-mail. She needs all the support she can get.

I'd just like to say that I find this whole thing PHUCKING WEIRD, I mean the writing style suggests Person is pretty bright, in which case surely they could be doing something else with their time (also rules out a few suspects straight away). What could be a really amusing site is taken way, way too far and too personal. How can anyone spend so much time on what is after all just somebody off the Internet?

Janelle...

Your guess is as good as mine. I think I have a general idea...but I really do not know.

I am more upset about Melanie than anything.

Thank you for your concern. I appreciate it.

Did that sound too smug? /me winks
