The Media

/me snarls

Is there not a war in Iraq? Is there not quite a skirmish between Israel and Lebanon? What about the ruling regarding warrantless wire tapping?

I am so disgusted by our media and their insatiable appetite for sensational news. I was not interested in the JonBenet Ramsey case ten years ago. I'm less interested in it now.

May we please return to our scheduled programming? May we please return to educating the American public as opposed to airing content which would be more suitable to People Magazine (don't get me wrong...I like People...it's junk food for the brain)? I have reached my breaking point with this story.

There is more to come on this brainjarring crap. This will not go away. The hell with everything else. War, economy and other screwed up people take a backseat to this dribble. I am glad the Canadian media is spending little time reporting about this issue. We have more important things. Like how to get rid of a certain Prime Minister who will go to the Arctic instead of an AIDS conference. Bad, bad Stephen. Just because you think that AIDS may be G-D's punishment to a select few don't take it out on the rest of the world. Yes I am so peed'd right now.

Why did he go to the Arctic? Is this the new "in" place for lobbyists?

Which begs the question: What sort of parent sends their 17 year old daughter off to a tropical island? I have an idea...buy a keg for your daughter and let her get drunk at home. Supervised.

It is a lot less expensive. Financially and emotionally.
