From the mouths of fools...

...so trickle the words of our fearless leaders.

A few weeks ago, The Local printed an article about Swedish Prime Minister, Göran Persson's "wit and wisdom." Since he is not my elected leader, I can take these comments with a grain of salt and laugh. Here are two of my favorites:

"politics is like women - it can be necessary to change partner from time to time."

"I studied chemistry and technology at high school, so I understand what nuclear power's about."

Today, the laughing stopped.

Apparently, the overly charismatic, astute and profound George W Bush has opened his mouth again. And like most morons who are fitted with lavalieres, he forgot that his mic was live. A joy for the rabble, a delight for the AV staff and sheer horror for his handlers who have to figure out a way to make yet another insipid joke out of our fearless leader's mental short-comings and lack of decorum.

Our friends at MSNBC dutifully reported the latest and greatest shits from Bush.

Bush caught on tape swearing about Syria

As he chats with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Bush expresses amazement that it will take Putin and an unidentified leader just as long to fly home to Moscow as it will take him to fly back to Washington. Putin’s reply could not be heard.

“You eight hours? Me too. Russia’s a big country and you’re a big country. Takes him eight hours to fly home. Not Coke, diet Coke. ... Russia’s big and so is China. Yo Blair, what’re you doing? Are you leaving,” Bush said.

I do not believe that anyone would support the notion that George W Bush is a expert in Geography. But...would it hurt for him to simply shut his mouth when he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about? And...would it be possible for him to refrain from using the word, "yo" when trying to gain the attention of another participant? He's from New England/Texas...not South Philadelphia.

I reckon not all the money in the world can teach one proper carriage and demeanor. Babs Bush, you must be very proud.

I, on the other hand, will spend the remainder of the day pondering who is more stupid; Göran Persson, George W Bush or the body electorate who put these jackals in a position of power.
