The word of the day, boys and girls, is "doormat."

We are going to go explore this in the metaphorical sense and disregard the primary definition of being a tool to used to wipe one's feet before entering a dwelling.

Doormat...par example...a person who attempts to be accommodating and yields no reciprocity. Not that reciprocity should be expected, but it is always welcomed and (sometimes) required in order to feel that one is not being used for kindness, patience and good will.

Perhaps Mistress Kang is feeling embittered and frustrated with her current state of affairs. Perhaps Mistress Kang just needs a vacation. More likely, Mistress Kang needs to beat the hasty retreat and turn inwards, keeping metaphorical parasites at bay for a while.

There is nothing worse than the feeling that one is taken for granted. And that, boys and girls, is the reason why today's word is: Doormat.
