Sartre

Sitting at the bar this evening, with my friend Chuck (and director extraordinaire), my memory of French Existentialism was aroused when I started yammering away about my sheer disappointment in humanity.

So...the thought for today comes from Jean-Paul Sartre. "Hell is other people."

That...and my lust for B Kliban was renewed by another Chapel Hillian bar-fly.

Aaaaah...the discussions one gets into when sitting in a bar in Chapel Hill. I love it. If I start re-reading Ayn Rand...please shake me out of the stupor of pseudo-intellectualism. Or club me over the head with Atlas Shrugged. Either will suffice.
