You cannot have it both ways...

...no matter how loudly you whine.

Back in 2004, the Repuglicans touted, lauded, praised and recommended Bob Woodward's book, "Plan of Attack." The book was listed as suggested reading on the Repuglican party's website. Unprecedented access was granted to Woodward for interviews with a normally, press unfriendly Administration.

Fast forward two years, to a mid-term election on very shaky ground.

Woodward has returned with another tome on the war in Iraq. This time, the point of view is not perceived as favorable by the Bush Administration. Now, Tony Snow is calling, "State of Denial" "cotton candy." The Bush Administration and the Repuglicans are not embracing this book. They're pulling out the garlic, stakes and holy water.

I suppose the question is: how can someone have such unprecedented access to an Administration to craft an honest report of the events leading up to the war in Iraq turn out to be a bald faced liar, trying to manipulate the mid-term elections? Oooooh. I forgot. That only happens when the actual truth is not favorable, the poll numbers are down and the support for the war is waning.

Hmmmmm.

I suppose it's time to pull out the issue-deflect-o-shield and talk about Pedos in Congress.
