Stupid Policies

I'm putting on my sneakers. The ones I wear to the gym.

My gym has a sign basically demanding clean shoes. I can agree with that. The sign continues to say that the shoes worn in the gym should be clean and free of dirt. Including dirt from the parking lot that you may pick-up while walking from your car. They claim they are trying to keep the gym neat and clean.

OK...I'm not going to bring my sneakers into a gym in a baggie and change feet. That seems counterintuitive and it's definitely not why I joined a gym (to model my extensive footwear collection). I mean...why am I paying $30.00 a month. Surely overhead cannot be that high.

I'm going to wear my sneakers out and about today. Maybe I'll step in some of our finest red-clay soil. Maybe I'll step in pooh. Maybe I'll step on some gum. I can say, with most assuredness, that I will be wearing them to the gym tomorrow.
